PRINTING PROCESS

What is Dye-Sublimation?

Dye-sublimation is a digital printing process which uses heat to transfer dye onto materials such as a plastic, card, paper, or fabric by making the transition between solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage. Sublimated products are higher quality, have less limitations in regards to art delivery, and are more durable than that of screen printed products.

What is the difference between "full subs" and "spot subs"?

Full Subs garments are Design | Print | Cut | Sew. Each product is designed, printed, templates are cut out, and then the templates are sewn together created for delivery as a wearable garment. Spot Subs are a purchased polyester drifit style product that is sublimated across a live are that is roughly 13"x16" on the front and back of each jersey. Spot subs can also have logos sublimated on the sleeves, but only on the live area of the sleeves which is roughly 8"x5" in size.

Can I print full color on a spot dye?

Spot dyes can only be full color dyed if on a white or light grey garment. When sublimating a purchased garment the garment itself has already been dyed at the factory which means that you are limited on dying for a second time. If you would like to have a colored garment as a spot dye option, then the only ink option is to use black. We can create designs that are just one color, that color being black, and apply the art to these spot dye garments. If you would like a multi-color design then either white or grey would have to be used for the spot dye process, otherwise, you can move to a full dye option to expand your possibilities.

What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. Screen printing is very cost effective but also very limited in regards to the delivery of art. Screen printing is also less durable than sublimated product.

What fabrics do we sublimate?

Nylon, certain plastics, and polyester fabrics. Cotton cannot be sublimated due to its fibrous and porous characteristics. For our jerseys and other wearable apparel items we sublimate onto several kinds of polyester fabric as seen here on our website "Apparel Materials" section.

Should I choose Screen Printing or Sublimation for my products?

If you are interested in having full color imagery across the entire garment with no limitations on the design, then sublimation is your best choice. Screen printed products are purchased from a manufacturer and then the screen printing process is applied to create your wearable garment.

CMYK refers to the primary colors of pigment: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. ... The combination of RGB light creates white, while the combination of CMYK inks creates black. GENERAL QUESTIONS

How does your jersey sizing run?

We have officially moved all of our sizing over to our TRUE TO SIZE model. Your hoodies, jerseys, long sleeves and jackets will all fit using the same size chart. If confused, follow the sizing charts instructions. However you will find the sizing fits like a standard dry fit. "Video Explaining Jersey Sizing."

What fabric are your jerseys made of?

Polyzone is the lightest fabric available for jerseys and is like a traditional dry fit. Micromesh is a honeycomb textured fabric which is slightly more dense.

Unless a special request occurs, all hoodies are made using our heavy fleece fabric. Hoodies follow the same sizing chart as the jerseys, however due to the thickness of the fabric will fit SLIGHTLY smaller than the lightweight jerseys.

What is your pant sizing like?

Tend to run true to size like a pair of jeans that go waist x inseam. Concerned you use women’s or youth and don’t know how to convert? Lay down a pair of your most comfortable pants flat while buttoned and measure from side to side as the chart shows, double that and you’ll have your pant waist measurement. If you’d like different cuts for each player, simply put the cut and sizing in the pant area, for instance WOMENS 28X28, MENS 30X32 or YOUTH 24x26 so we know to adjust the cut. "Video Explaining Pant Sizing." If you are ordering stock pants, waist and length is not needed on the order form. You can just enter Youth Medium, Adult Small, etc under the pants column.
